We need to increase our presence at the RUSD school board meetings so that the board members realize the majority of parents in the Redlands area support COVID safety measures.

RUSD has to provide another option for the public to take part in these meetings by allowing an option to zoom into the meeting and speak publicly.

Since August of 2021, every in-person board meeting the members of Safe Redlands Schools have attended has resulted in members being threatened, followed to their car, yelled at by anti-maskers, and left to feel generally unsafe. Additionally, immunocompromised members of our community cannot feel safe coming to these meetings currently as masks have now become optional.

We cannot allow the same vocal minority of people who have been disrupting these meetings to have the only voice during public comments because of these conditions. Many neighboring school districts have this option and RUSD must provide something similar.
