In Nebraska, we believe in giving our neighbors a helping hand when they need it. But unless legislators pass LB 84, nearly 10,000 struggling families could lose assistance to put food on the table.

“Gas, groceries, everything that I think of is so much more expensive. In this last year, everything’s just gone up …,” said a single mom, whose family of three kids rely on SNAP benefits to meet their basic needs.

Added a married dad of one experiencing disabilities: “I don’t know what we would be eating without the program …”

SNAP is our most important anti-hunger program, helping over 170,000 Nebraskans to purchase healthy food at local businesses, keeping money flowing through our economy.
