2023 Hamblen PECCA Petition

Hamblen County Board of Education

Dear Hamblen County Educators:

At the beginning of this school year, as allowed by law,  Hamblen County Education Association (HCEA) will initiate the collaborative conferencing process on behalf of all teachers.

The purpose of this process is to negotiate salary, insurance, working conditions, leave and fringe benefits.

To initiate this process, the law requires that we submit a petition in October to the Board of Education requesting collaborative conferencing. The petition must contain the signatures of at least 15 percent of all Hamblen County educators. HCEA is collecting these signatures and hopes that you, too, will support the initiation of this process of collaborative conferencing.

Signing this online petition is the first step in this process. Once this petition is submitted to the Board in October, a poll or vote will take place. To continue negotiating, we need a majority of educators to vote YES and for HCEA in the poll at the end of the first semester.

Thank you for taking this first step and signing our petition. We ask that you share this information with your colleagues in your building.

Sincerely,

Hamblen County Education Association Board of Directors
