Why abolish predominantly white greek life?
PW Greek life has origins in racism, classism, sexism, and other elitist institutions. Today's Greek life continues to uphold the antiquated traditions by which it was founded. Greek life has also posed a health threat in the newfound reality of COVID-19. Greek life does not care about its members safety, nor the safety of its surrounding community.

Once we have adequate support we will be delivering this petition to the Office of Student Affairs and the Office of Students Rights & Responsibilities at GWU. There must be better ways to combat the destructive nature of PW Greek Life than to allow their activities to go on in off-campus residences, unchecked.
Here are some action items if you are currently or not currently a member of PW Greek life:
1) Disaffiliate from you PHA/IFC organization - there is power in numbers and as with all profit driven institutions: money talks.
2) Cease all large gatherings and parties on and around campus IMMEDIATELY! You are not a bad person for being victim to these institutions but you may be if you continue to put the lives of those around you in danger. COVID-19 has been proven to impact communities of color and you cannot be an ally while allowing friends to attend large gatherings.
