Add educators to the State Board—sign SB 739!
Governor Larry Hogan
Right now, the State Board of Education has ZERO members with experience working in Maryland public schools. The board that sets wide-ranging education policies affecting our schools should have members who are actually educators and understand the issues facing our students and profession.
The General Assembly just passed Senate Bill 739, which would add two educators to the State Board from a list submitted by MSEA and the Baltimore Teachers Union. But the bill will only become law if Governor Hogan signs it.
Add your name to the petition calling on Gov. Hogan to make sure that educators have a seat at the table when policies affecting our profession and students are being determined!

Educators should have a voice on the policies that affect our profession and our students. Please make sure we have a seat at the table and sign Senate Bill 739 to add two educators to the State Board of Education.
