Add your name to stand up to bottled water corporations polluting national parks

National Park Service Director Jon Jarvis

Disposable plastic water bottles are an enormous source of trash and pollution in our national parks. So parks across the country have taken steps to limit sales of bottled water and encourage park visitors to use reusable bottles.

But the bottled water industry is throwing around its economic and political might to stop parks' efforts.

This week, National Park Service (NPS) Director Jon Jarvis will testify before a congressional appropriations committee. Like last time he testified about the NPS budget, he’s likely to face attacks by the industry and its cronies in Congress about bottled-water-free policies. But these common-sense measures have saved money for the NPS!

Let the NPS director know you have his back as he faces unjustified attacks. Stand up to bottled water corporations and sign this petition that our partners will deliver to him this week.

We support you in protecting the environment, and we believe more national parks should continue ending sales of bottled water.

National parks that have ended bottled water sales are protecting the environment, making tap water and reusable water bottles more available to park-goers, and just doing the right thing.

Director Jarvis, you and the National Park Service deserve to be congratulated, not berated by the bottled water industry and its backers.
