Demand All NC Public School Workers Receive a $15 Hour Minimum Wage!

NC General Assembly

In 2018, the General Assembly raised all permanent state employees’ wages to $15/hr - but they left out public school workers. Approximately 45,000 public school employees including school bus drivers, custodians, and teaching assistants are paid as little as $12/hour to do essential tasks like transporting our children to school, ensuring a safe and sanitary learning environment, and providing one-on-one educational support. Please sign and share this petition to ensure all school workers receive a living wage for the essential role they play in student's lives and education.

This pay gap is unfair and punishes employees doing vital work that our community depends on every day. We are calling on you to raise the base pay of all classified staff to at least $15/hr.
