ALL Texas University Workers and State Employees need a Pay Raise!

Local Legislators, UT President Jay Hartzell, and the UT Board of Regents

It has been more than 20 years since university employees received a statewide pay raise. Since the last statewide pay raise for university employees in 2002, the purchasing power of average university employee pay has dropped by over 30%. We are struggling to survive. Staff turnover is a growing problem. We need and deserve a pay raise.

We, members of the faculty and staff at UT, call on our state legislators to publicly support - and work to pass - HB 202, which will provide for a $10,000 pay raise for every Texas university worker and state employee.

We, members of the faculty and staff at UT, call on our president, Jay Hartzell, and our Board of Regents to publicly support HB 202, and to do everything in their power to support a pay raise for university employees.
