Become a Co-Signer of the Political Accountability and Transparency Act

All Members of Congress

Dark money is the most toxic force in politics with nearly $1 billion flooding our elections since the 2010 Citizens United Supreme Court decision.

But now, working with Issue One, a bipartisan group of members of Congress has introduced a new bill that will begin to fix America’s broken political system.

Become a co-signer of the bipartisan Political Accountability and Transparency Act and tell Congress to reduce the influence of big money in politics and return our democracy to the American people.

With your help, we can move this bill forward and together, we can change the rules of politics.

The “Political Accountability and Transparency Act” (PATA) will ensure that super PACs operate independently from candidates; it’ll tackle dark money by requiring organizations to disclose their top donors when they run political ads; and this critical legislation will expand “personal use” restrictions of campaign funds to apply to all political committees so that members of Congress would no longer be able to use leadership PACs as personal slush funds. We urge Congress to pass these bipartisan political reforms that limit the role of big money in our elections and that return our democracy to the American people.
