NYC deserves a full-time Mayor.

NYC is the greatest city in the world. Mayor Bill de Blasio is free to join the crowds running for President—he can simply resign first, move to another city (like Boston), and we'll elevate another leader to fight Gov. Cuomo's twisted government in Albany.

Making a long-shot run for Prez and committing to being an absentee Mayor for 8.5 million people = lost all your NYC privileges.

• While NYC awaits full-time appointments at two major city agencies (deputy mayor for housing and economic development, and New York City Housing Authority) [1] -

• While NYC community groups battled the lobbyists and concentrated interests of Amazon's exploitative HQ2 proposal, while Mayor de Blasio sided with Gov. Cuomo in a closed process and indefensible tax giveaway vs. local input -

• While NYC's leadership continues to fail in advancing important issues in Albany such as the pied-à-terre tax, funding public transit first, local control over MTA, safe streets infrastructure, public financing of state elections, and NYCHA Housing Reform -

• While Mayor de Blasio's Administration continues to rack up ethics violations and lobbying scandals that erode the public trust and reduce his effectiveness, without acknowledging criticisms of good government watchdogs and experts in NYC bureaucracy for public well-being [2] -

We request that Mayor Bill de Blasio move to another city that he obviously prefers, like Boston, for the base of his Presidential run. Seems like this would entail resigning as Mayor! Well, that's our strong request, for the health of NYC.
