Tennessee is quickly becoming a hotspot for COVID-19 infections. This virus has launched the economy into a free fall, leaving many people in a state of insecurity. Many working families are facing the harsh reality of sickness, scarcity, and economic insecurity.

Grocery store shelves are empty, mortgage payments are due, and the Governor of Tennessee still refuses to declare a statewide stay-at-home order.

1: An immediate declaration of a “People’s State of Emergency” in Tennessee and all municipal governments under her jurisdiction.

2: An immediate, statewide “stay-at-home” order only with exceptions for essential travel.

3: The abolition of work requirements for all public assistance programs, especially the food stamp program (SNAP).

4: The expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act and the forgiveness of all medical debt.

5: Forgiveness of all rent and mortgage payments due during this crisis.

6: Hazard pay for all essential employees.

7: The establishment of a mail-in ballot system for the upcoming elections.
