Boycott Pledge: Sheraton Ottawa Hotel

Sheraton Ottawa Hotel

Terminated workers of the Sheraton Ottawa have called for a boycott of the hotel after almost 90% of the workers were fired.  After refusing to extend recall rights, the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel terminated a majority of the workers with only a few days warning. The Sheraton Ottawa is the only Local 261 employer that has decided to fire workers in the middle of the pandemic. In fact, most of the properties represented by Local 261 have extended recall rights for their workers.

Please stand with workers by publicly supporting this boycott.

I publicly pledge to honour the boycott of the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel owned by KECK SENG INVESTMENTS. I will not eat, meet or sleep at the hotel until workers are returned to their jobs. Instead, I will patronize hotels that value workers and have stuck by their workforce during the pandemic.

If the workers don’t come back, we won’t come back.
