BRING GEORGE MARKS HOME!
IMMIGRATION & CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT
George Marks has been in New York for 39 years .He came to the United States under the age of sixteen years old with his mother. Under Section 320 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), Marks legally had the right to acquire citizenship as he was under the age of 18. Throughout Mark's time in the states he successfully managed to open two businesses. Around this time, George met his wife, and they had four children. George was known as the provider for his family. However, authorities have taken that responsibility from him and his family. Marks lives behind his four children and seven grandchildren.
Marks has been absent from the physical presence of his family for 14 years. During this time, he became a widower. How much more agony must this family go through? The justice system has failed this family.
Families For Freedom write this with deep regret, it saddens our hearts and Marks’ family to witness the illegal separation. George Marks has concluded his prison sentence. Why is ICE trying to detain him? When legally he should already have been identified as an American Citizen. Marks and his family wait tirelessly for his return. He missed so celebratory moments, he can’t get back. Marks’ family just want to be reunited and make up for lost time. However, ICE created challenges in regards to this reunification.
Marks is known for being a provider, family-orientated, and hard worker who has lost the last 14 years of his life to this unjust system. This system neglected George Marks’ basic human rights, when the chief district attorney unlawfully arrested him with a counterfeit warrant. George won this civil action and his time has been served regarding the falsifying documents. Any other legal actions against Marks would be discriminatory.
George deserves his citizenship just as much the reunification of his family. His family and friends yearn for the day, when they are all together again.
