Bring Passenger Trains to East Cleveland

Tees Valley Mayor

We need proper public transport links in East Cleveland!

If the government wants to bring new jobs and investment to Teesside, then we need passenger trains to help people commute to Redcar and Middlesbrough.

We last had passenger trains on the East Cleveland line in 1967. Today, our villages from Brotton to Loftus, Carlin Howe and Easington are isolated - Boulby was named one of the UK's most isolated communities in 2020. It's time to link us back up with the rest of Teesside and bring in income to help our villages thrive.
