Brockton, MA - Recognize June as Pride Month for LGBTQ Community!
Mayor & Administration
The City of Brockton has resilient people from all walks of life. Our diversity and culture is something that our city should be proud of and celebrate.
The Committee to Elect Jimmy Pereira recognizes the importance of supporting Brockton's LGBTQ+ community and is committed to ensuring that all Brocktonians are empowered to live their lives openly and freely to achieve their greatest potential.
Recognizing that there are many social determinants of health that the LGBTQ community experiences, such as poorer health outcomes, higher rates of suicide, youth violence, homelessness, and substance abuse, we are committed to providing a supportive and reaffirming community for all LGBTQ residents.
To celebrate, empower, and recognize all residents across the City of Brockton, we must support our LGBTQ neighbors, friends, and family members. We, the signed petitioners, ask the Mayor's administration to officially recognize the month of June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
