The White House announced an infrastructure proposal called "The American Jobs Plan" which would invest in rebuilding our nation's crumbling infrastructure.
Kansas, and Wichita in particular, stands to benefit in a big way: Under this new plan, Wichita's Amtrak service will be restored for the first time since the 1970s! Along with creating millions of jobs nationwide, this investment will be a direct injection of much needed new travel and tourism dollars, and permanent jobs, into our state and local economy. We must not miss this once-in-a-generation opportunity!
