Our local and regional political authorities need to face our climate challenges through strong Climate Emergency Declarations and decisive action. Action on climate breakdown will create jobs, protect the well being of our local population, protect our natural resources, promote human health, reduce catastrophic forest fires and flooding and drought, and above all spare life and lives.
In a leap to clean energy, there will be a savings for all, from families to private and public institutions. Together our community can become leaders in using solar and wind power to the benefit of all.

We urge:
- Declaring a strong Climate Emergency and creating strong climate action plans, on many fronts, starting with our local government.
- That leaders create a safe pathway to limit global temperature rise to under 1.5 degrees C (2.7 F).
- Uniting behind the climate science and following the Paris Agreement.
- Bold change and solutions. We demand policy and social change instead of climate change. Social change is possible. For example one urgent step is the rapid transition from greenhouse gas emitting fuels like coal, gas and oil to clean energy like solar and wind.
