Commit Greenville to 100% Renewable Energy by 2030

Mayor Knox White & Greenville City Council

Our House is on Fire... Let's Act Like It!

Greenville has become one of the most livable cities in the United States. It is a beautiful town and could be a leader in sustainability. We are asking you to sign this petition to send a message that the community is united and we need serious, systemic change, and a commitment from city leadership to move all city agencies to 100% renewable energy by 2030 for all government facilities. By choosing renewables, they would be cutting their greenhouse gas emissions and creating a healthier environment for our neighbors – and a brighter future for our planet. The petition will be delivered to Mayor Knox White on Sept 20th, 2019.

We have months, not years. We must act now.

Please sign the petition and #StrikeWithUs September 20th, @ 12 Noon in front of City Hall in downtown Greenville, SC. RSVP here www.strikewithus.org

Greenville has become one of the most livable cities in the United States. We are asking you to make a commitment, as many other major cities have already done, to Greenville’s transition to 100% renewable electricity by 2030 for all government facilities. This will enhance our city’s reputation as a leader in sustainable living. It will reduce the city’s energy costs while creating new, green-energy, job opportunities for our citizens. We also ask the city to establish an expandable, subscription-based, Community Solar Farm for residents, with special rates for low-income residents. Greenville has led the Southeast in developing a livable and vibrant city. By leading on green living we’ll put the “Green" in Greenville.
