Commit to a Fossil Free Prince William County!
Prince William County Board of Supervisors
We are asking the Prince William County Board of Supervisors to adopt a resolution to set 100% renewable energy goals, oppose new fossil fuel infrastructure, and divest from fossil fuel companies.
We will hand-deliver the petition and resolution to Prince William County Board members at an upcoming Board of Supervisors meeting.

Clean energy solutions are here, and it’s time for Prince William County and other communities across Virginia to step up as leaders and take action! Increasing numbers of Americans support transitioning away from dirty fossil fuels to clean energy, including over two-thirds of Virginian voters. 100% clean energy is not only attainable, it’s a sensible goal that will benefit us all by saving us money, creating permanent careers, protecting our health and environment, fighting climate change, and strengthening energy security.
Clean energy continues to outpace fossil fuels as costs are plummeting and technology is rapidly progressing. Virginia has untapped renewable energy potential, and our state hasn’t taken advantage of the opportunities that clean energy brings. Over 110 localities across the US have committed to 100% clean energy, including Blacksburg and Floyd County, VA, and that number is quickly increasing. We need local leadership to advance clean energy and reduce carbon pollution for a healthy, thriving future for generations to come!
It’s time for Prince William County to equitably transition our energy toward 100% clean renewable sources countywide by 2035. The clean energy industry is flourishing, exciting and innovative energy technology is here, and Virginians are ready to reap the benefits of clean energy for all!
I support Prince William County taking action to advance clean energy and reduce greenhouse gas pollution!
