Comptroller DiNapoli: Divest from Exxon and all Big Oil and Gas
Thomas DiNapoli, NYS Comptroller
In December 2020, Comptroller DiNapoli agreed to a five-year process to review the NY Common Retirement Fund's multi-billion dollar investments in fossil fuel companies. His prior reviews of coal, fracking and tar sands led to the divestment from 55 companies.
For the past year his office has reviewed big oil and gas companies, including Exxon. Now is the time that we need to send a clear message:
"Divest from Exxon and all big oil and gas companies that have created this climate crisis."

We call on you to fully divest from Exxon and all big oil and gas companies that have fueled the climate crisis. It is immoral to continue to fund climate destruction, and it is financially irresponsible to risk our public employee's pension dollars on a dying industry. We urge you to continue to be a climate leader.
