In an interview with an Oregon newspaper, Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-OR) repeated Big Pharma’s lie that reforms to lower drug prices would stifle innovation.

This is simply not true. The American people essentially pay twice for drugs to be developed: once through taxpayer-funded research through the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and again, a second time, when Big Pharma charges them the world’s highest prices.

Big Pharma spends more money on marketing, stock buybacks & dividends than it does on research and development.

The American people deserve to know who stands with them against Big Pharma’s greed, and who stands with Big Pharma.
