Demand Adams County BOCC Uphold Their Collective Bargaining Resolution

Adams County Board of County Commissioners

In May 2017, the Adams County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) passed resolution 2017-259 authorizing collective bargaining as “the performance of the mutual obligation of the employer and the representative of the employees to meet at reasonable times and confer, in good faith, with respect to wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment, the negotiation of an agreement, or any question arising under an agreement (p. 3, Letter B).”

Unfortunately, the county is not upholding its obligations under the resolution and is insisting on retaining the ability to determine pay and benefits for the health and human services bargaining unit. Their continued refusal to acknowledge the definition of collective bargaining and its obligations under the resolution is unnecessarily and has prolonged these negotiations.

Join us in demanding Adams County BOCC fulfill their obligations under the resolution for collective bargaining and work with the health and human services bargaining team to secure a strong contract for county employees!
