Demand Costco, Kroger and Walmart Stock Mifepristone in Their Pharmacies Now!

Costco, Kroger, Walmart

Abortion pills belong in pharmacies where people get all of their medication. Sign now if you agree.

Last month, Reproaction sent letters to the CEOs of Walmart, Costco, and Kroger, urging them to stock mifepristone in their pharmacies. This safe, FDA-approved medication is critical for both abortion and miscarriage care, yet these major retailers are failing to provide it.

You can demand they take action now.

While other national retailers have begun filling mifepristone prescriptions, Walmart, Costco, and Kroger continue to lag behind, likely because of pressure from a small group of anti-abortion investors. But the majority of Americans – and thus the majority of their customer base – support abortion access, and everyone deserves equitable access to the health care they need.

Mifepristone, which accounted for 63% of U.S. abortions in 2023, has been proven safe for over two decades. With the FDA authorizing pharmacies to dispense it in January 2023, there is no excuse for these companies to withhold this essential medication.
