Demand Transparency: Become a citizen co-sponsor of The Senate Campaign Disclosure Parity Act today

U.S. Senate

A campaign’s finance reports tell us a lot about a candidate.

On September 30, all candidates for U.S. House and Senate wrapped up their quarterly fundraising. And by October 15, they’ll file their reports with the federal government. But, by law, the U.S. Senate still requires candidates to file campaign finance reports on paper.

This is not only a massive waste of staff time and taxpayer money, it also delays the public’s ability to analyze a candidate’s finances.

Stand with People Demanding Action and Issue One and demand transparency in our elections. Become a co-sponsor of The Senate Campaign Disclosure Parity Act (S. 298) today.

The Senate Campaign Disclosure Parity Act (S. 298) is an important technological change that would save taxpayers money and increase transparency in our elections. I urge you to support this smart, bipartisan bill that would require Senate candidates to file their campaign finance reports electronically. The Federal Election Commission estimates that e-filing would save taxpayers more than $876,000 each year while making reports available to the public more quickly.
