Don’t Let Gov. Kemp Cut Medicaid Coverage for 30,000 Poor, Elderly and Disabled Georgians
Gov. Brian Kemp
Georgia’s Dept. of Community Health, overseen by Gov. Kemp, is cutting Medicaid health coverage for 30,000 poor, elderly or disabled Georgians.
The unjust terminations appear to be caused by yet another “administrative error” from Kemp’s team. The affected Georgians claim they did not receive a Medicaid renewal notice and were only given 10 days to try to fix the problem that the state created.
Now, recipients are facing disconnected customer service numbers, long queues and unhelpful representatives of Kemp’s understaffed, underfunded DCH.
Tell Gov. Kemp that we will not stand by while he attacks the lives and health of some of Georgia’s most vulnerable people. We demand that Kemp and the DCH restore full Medicaid benefits to the 30,000 Georgians who are in danger of losing health coverage because of Kemp’s mismanagement.
