End Poverty Wages at American Airlines
American Airlines CEO Doug Parker
American Airlines pays poverty wages to thousands of its passenger service professionals at Envoy Air and Piedmont Airlines. The majority make less than $11 an hour and must rely on food stamps and other forms of public assistance just to get by. These hardworking men and women at American-owned Envoy and Piedmont are on the frontlines, providing services essential to safe, comfortable travel for passengers at major airports across the country.
Meanwhile, business is booming at American. The company made almost $2 billion in profits in 2017 alone and lobbied hard for corporate tax cuts that will pad its bottom line. American used its profits to pay out millions to executives and purchase $1.6 billion of its own stock to pump up its share price. But the company's success is not being shared equally with passengers and the workers who serve them everyday.
Working people at American Airlines are standing up and demanding the company pay all of its passenger service agents family-supporting wages. Add your name to the petition in support of working people at American Airlines fighting for good jobs.
