End The Strikes, Stand With Workers
Rishi Sunak, Prime Minister; Keir Starmer, Leader of the Opposition
Trade Union action brought us the 8-hour day, the weekend, pensions, holidays, sick leave, parental leave, the minimum wage, safe conditions and everyday representation. These benefit all of us and their current last resort action, for which they sacrifice pay, protect all of us - it's rail workers, nurses, teachers, barristers and others today, it could be any of us tomorrow.
It's time we built an economy that works for all of us.

I'm calling on you to immediately commit to:
1. End these strikes by agreeing inflation-beating level pay rises, safe and fair conditions and guaranteed protection of jobs.
2. Build a fair economy by redistributing wealth and power and eliminating poverty. Urgently and boldly move to cut the cost of energy, food and water, housing, public transport, education and social care.
3. Introduce a Real Living Wage.
4. Restore pre-austerity level funding of public services.
5. Prevent future strikes by expanding worker voice to resolve issues quickly and amicably. This includes co-determination laws and expanding cooperatives. Scrap the Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Bill and repeal anti-worker legislation:
- The Employment Acts of 1980, 1982, 1984 and 1990
- The 1984 Trade Union Act
- The 1993 Trade Union Reform and Employment Rights Act
- The Trade Union Reform and Employment Rights Act of 1993
- The Criminal Justice Public Order Act 1994, Section 127
- The 2016 Trade Union Act
