Expand Social Security

U.S. Congress

We must fight to fulfill the promise we have made to our retirees. Today, with so many Americans struggling, especially retirees, we need to make sure that this important program is there for everyone. We can do this by urging Congress to expand Social Security.

A quarter of older Americans rely on Social Security for a 90 percent of their income, and half of seniors rely on Social Security for at least 50 percent of their income.

About 40 percent of elderly Americans would have an income below the poverty line without Social Security.

That's why we need to make sure that the promise we have made to our retirees is kept and earned benefits are there for current and future generations.

You must help expand those earned Social Security benefits in order to provide real retirement security for all.
