Community College of Vermont faculty recently voted by a margin of 70% to form our union and join with our colleagues in the Vermont State College System (VSC) already organized and represented by AFT Vermont. Now after 4 Months of bargaining we are asking for support from our community to help us ensure improved job security, equal pay with our colleagues in the VSC, benefits, and an institutional culture that recognizes faculty expertise as essential to the core mission of the college. We support the 538 CCV Faculty Members who seek a Fair Contract that gives them equality with their sister schools in the Vermont State College System. The CCV Faculty deserve improved job security, equal pay, benefits, and an institutional culture that recognizes faculty expertise as essential to the core mission of the college. We believe that the CCV Faculty deserve, as we all do, the right to work with dignity and respect.
You can’t put students first, if you put faculty last.
