Fair Contracts Now for Greater New Bedford Educators
Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School Committee

The recently unionized workforce at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School deserves fair contracts, yet Voc-Tech's school committee has used delay tactics and has tried to prevent the staff from talking to the community about the negotiations. The administrators, clerical and IT staff, and teaching assistants at GNBVT deserve fair contracts and to be treated with respect at the bargaining table and on the job. The school committee has settled a contract with teachers, and it is past time to do the same with all of the educators responsible for the high quality of the education offered at GNBVT.

We are calling upon the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School Committee to bargain and settle fair contracts in a timely manner with the teaching assistants, clerical and IT staff, and administrators who are members of the Greater New Bedford Educators Union.
These educators are vital to providing the support and services that students need to be successful.
These educators are seeking fair wages, job security, and respect as professionals. They have shown outstanding commitment to GNBVT students, particularly through the most difficult periods of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The school committee was able to reach a contract agreement with teachers, and it is now past the reasonable time to do the same with the rest of the educators who are responsible for the quality of education delivered to GNBVT students.
