Free Parking for UGA employees Now!

President Jere Morehead

UGA employees pay up to $480 every year to park at their jobs. This is unacceptable for a Billion Dollar Institution. Workers should not have to pay to work. It is time that UGA gives more than words to the workers that make our campus run. Tell UGA to provide free employee parking now!

UGA employees pay up to $480 every year to park at their jobs.

While public transportation may benefit some, many workers live too far away to use these services.

Moreover, many UGA employees work multiple jobs due to inadequate pay. This means they must park close to their campus workplaces in order to quickly get to their other jobs. Parking on campus is a necessity for these workers.

Campus Workers are essential to UGA’s mission and operation. Forcing them to pay to park at their jobs represents an unjust tax and upholds the inequality UGA seeks to resolve.

We the undersigned demand that the University of Georgia provide free parking to all campus workers.
