This is a gut check moment for every lawmaker who says they care about the rule of law.

When Donald Trump failed to get his border wall built through the democratic process, he decided to undermine the checks and balances that have protected our nation for centuries -- declaring a phony “national emergency” to pay for it.

In response to this brazen attack on the rule of law, House Democrats introduced and passed a resolution to block Trump’s declaration that was supported by 13 House Republicans. The Senate's resolution is also gaining bipartisan support, as three Republican senators have already signed on.

Now, we just need ONE more Senate Republican to put country before party -- and we’ll have the votes we need to reject Trump’s “national emergency.”

Time and time again, Mitt Romney, Lindsey Graham, and other GOP senators have spoken out against Trump’s lawlessness -- and now, the nation is watching to see if they will back those words up with action when it matters most.
