I Pledge to be a Voter for Welcome
American Voters

Our nation's legacy of welcoming refugees and those seeking asylum is at stake this election. Our elected leaders directly impact whether we are a place that welcomes those seeking safety or turns people away. At the state level, elected officials have the ability to support new Americans and help them thrive. At the federal level, elected officials have the power to fund refugee resettlement, protect DACA, and create pathways to citizenship for those who are already our neighbors and friends.
Voice for Refuge invites all American voters to pledge to be Voters for Welcome this election. We ask that you take the pledge to vote for leaders who commit to ensuring every person in our communities and nation is welcomed, protected, and represented in government.
We must elect representatives who promote our nation’s long held values of welcome, generosity, and human rights for all. We must elect representatives who seek to have make a positive impact on refugee community support in the country. We must elect representatives who seek to give a voice to refugees, especially regarding the policies that directly impact them.
By signing the following pledge, you pledge to vote in the interest of those who come, fleeing persecution, to this country seeking freedom, happiness, and prosperity. In doing so, you help to permanently change thousands of lives for the better.
