Save the bees: Ban bee-killing pesticides
EPA, state, and local elected officials
Bees are declining at an alarming rate. Last winter, bee-keepers reported that nearly 40% of their hives died suddenly, an all-time record. Bees are already facing a dire threat from global climate change, and bee-killing pesticides could push bee species to extinction.
We rely on bees, butterflies, and other pollinators for more than 70 percent of the world's food crops. Without bees and other natural pollinators, we simply won't have enough food to feed the world.
With Trump in office for at least two more years, it's up to local governments to provide bees a lifeline.
That's why I fought to pass a local ordinance to ban bee-killing
pesticides in my city and am now fighting to ensure it is fully enforced
with no Trump-style phony "emergency" approvals. A growing wave of
cities and towns are doing the same. Now we need to keep up the
momentum!
Will you sign the petition urging mayors and other local officials to ban bee-killing pesticides and then share it with your friends?
