It's Time to Make the Rich Pay Their Fair Share!

Governor Kathy Hochul, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, & Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie

Every day, New Yorkers wake up wanting a better future for themselves & their loved ones. But right now, it’s nearly impossible for millions of people to make ends meet, and lawmakers in Washington D.C. are making things much worse. New Yorkers are becoming sicker, hungrier, and less safe; students aren’t getting the education services they need, daycares and hospitals are closing their doors, and much-needed public transit infrastructure updates are on pause. Despite New York having the country's highest concentration of wealth, Gov. Hochul refuses to step up and enact state-level policies to counter federal attacks and the ever-growing affordability crisis that is driving working-class New Yorkers out of the state.

It doesn't have to be this way. National and local polls have repeatedly demonstrated broad bipartisan support for making the ultra-wealthy & highly profitable corporations pay their fair share in taxes to pay for the public programs and services that make life a little easier for all of us, like universal childcare, affordable housing, and reliable public transportation. The Invest in Our New York campaign is demanding Gov. Hochul and lawmakers protect us from federal attacks and build the New York we deserve. And it starts with taxing the rich.
