It's time for climate action in Minnesota

Governor Dayton

As constituents and Minnesotan residents, we need to call on the state government to take climate change seriously by calling for climate action now and aggressively working toward an equitable, clean energy future for everyone in Minnesota. This requires strong state policy to limit greenhouse gas pollution and to encourage clean energy. As Minnesotans, we must require our elected officials to:

- Set a firm limit on greenhouse gas emissions;

-Transition to clean energy solutions at scale and as quickly as possible;

- Expand worker training to create sustainable jobs for workers currently employed by the fossil fuel industry and communities who have traditionally been excluded from economic success;

- Respect the sovereignty of tribal nations, and respect the right of all communities to self-determination and authority over decisions that impact them;

- Visit and listen to impacted people, businesses, and communities, and have tough conversations with all clean energy stakeholders;

- Commit to work with community partners to achieve our vision for a 100% equitable and clean energy future.

At a time when the Trump administration has abdicated its duty to protect our planet from the devastating impacts of climate change, Minnesota's leadership is needed now more than ever.

Governor Dayton,

As a constituent and Minnesotan resident, I am calling on the state government to take climate change seriously by taking climate action now and aggressively working toward an equitable, clean energy future for everyone in Minnesota. -Transition to clean energy solutions at scale and as quickly as possible;

- Expand worker training to create sustainable jobs for workers currently employed by the fossil fuel industry and communities who have traditionally been excluded from economic success;

- Respect the sovereignty of tribal nations, and respect the right of all communities to self-determination and authority over decisions that impact them;

- Visit and listen to impacted people, businesses, and communities, and have tough conversations with all clean energy stakeholders;

- Commit to work with community partners to achieve our vision for a 100% equitable and clean energy future.

At a time when the Trump administration has abdicated its duty to protect our planet from the devastating impacts of climate change, your leadership is needed now more than ever.
