It’s time for Rhode Island’s rich to invest in our recovery

Rhode Island Governor, Senate President, and Speaker of the House

Working people in Rhode Island are struggling to recover from COVID and the economic crisis. We all—white, Black, and brown, native and newcomer—work hard to provide for our families and take care of our neighbors and our community. Now it's time that the highest income earners in our state did the same. We're joining thousands across Rhode Island to call for a new tax bracket on people bringing home more than $475,000 a year. Because if Rhode Island is going to make a better future together, we all have to do our part.

It's going to take all of us doing our part to recover from COVID, to bring Rhode Island and our economy back from the brink, and to protect our state's working people and their families in this difficult period.

The highest income earners in this state have seen their tax rate cut at the state and the federal levels again and again. It's time they paid their fair share toward this recovery. I'm asking you to join the thousands across Rhode Island who are calling for a higher tax bracket of 8.99% on annual incomes over $475,000. By asking the rich to chip in a little more, we can help keep our state running strong without cutting essential services and programs for tens of thousands of families.

It's time for *all of us* to invest in Rhode Island again. Please support the Revenue for RI proposal today.
