It's time: Tell the Big Banks to Reset Mortgages

[Your petition target]

Four years after Wall Street Bankers crashed the economy, 16 million Americans are still "underwater" – paying for mortgages that are more than our homes are actually worth. 7 million face foreclosure. Wall Street Bankers must fix what they broke.

To Wall Street CEOs:

It's been four years since the American people paid $2 trillion to bail you out after you crashed the economy. You're raking in record profits, but we’re dealing with 16 million underwater homeowners and 7 million families facing foreclosure. Fix what you broke. Stop needless foreclosures and reset mortgages to fair market value which will create $71 billion in yearly economic activity and 1 million new jobs.

CC: President Obama and Congress: Hold bankers accountable and make them fix what they broke with large-scale mortgage resets. Do this NOW by appointing a new leader at the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which oversees Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and fully prosecuting Wall Street Bankers for their crimes.
