It's Time to Help Puerto Rico

President Trump and Members of Congress

Hurricane Irma has devastated Puerto Rico. Residents are without power or water, and critical supplies aren't being delivered to those who need them most.

Puerto Rico is home to two CWA locals, Upagra (TNG-CWA 33225) and CWA Local 3010. Local President Luis Benítez reports the 3010 offices are ruined; officers are securing a temporary site to serve as a member assistance center.

Even though the potential for disaster was clear days before the hurricane struck, the Trump Administration was caught flat-footed. Their response has been slow and inadequate.

Communications from Puerto Rico are limited. We must raise our voices on behalf of Puerto Rico and demand that the administration and Congress make the lives of Puerto Ricans a priority.
