President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act, which lowered the cost of insulin to $35/month for many Americans, and Vice President Kamala Harris provided the tie-breaking vote for that historic insulin cost/drug price-lowering legislation to pass the Senate.
JD Vance’s lies about who lowered the cost of insulin are pathetic. Donald Trump appointed a member of the insulin cartel to oversee the Department of Health and Human Services. Alex Azar, a former CEO of one of the biggest three insulin manufacturers who have all raised their prices in lockstep for years, was Trump’s pick to watch over Medicare and Medicaid.
Imagine someone who massively raised the price of insulin being put in charge of Medicare drug price negotiation — which Congressional Republicans also want to get rid of!
