Jurors Against Trump
D.A. Alvin Bragg and Judge Juan Merchan
As jurors, we are outraged by Donald Trump's relentless attacks on the people who make up our criminal justice system - including prosecutors, judges, clerks, witnesses, and jurors like all of us.
We are jurors in Manhattan and across the United States. We come from all walks of life, and all racial and religious backgrounds, and all political views. But above all else, we are proud Americans.
So when our government asks us to serve on a jury, we willingly sacrifice days, weeks, and even months of our lives to guarantee the promise of equal justice under the law - because this is the bedrock of American Democracy.
As jurors, we take Donald Trump's relentless attacks seriously - and personally.
For a year, Donald Trump has viciously attacked Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg, Judge Juan Merchan, key witnesses, and even judge Merchan's clerk and family.
In so doing, Trump deliberately put their lives at risk from his violent followers - the same people who attacked the Capitol on January 6 and called for the hanging of the Vice President and Speaker of the House.
Even after the jury unanimously convicted Trump on 34 felony counts, Trump continued to attack the criminal justice system.
As jurors, we urge you to impose the maximum sentence allowed by law for Donald Trump's 34 felony convictions.

As jurors, we urge you to impose the maximum sentence allowed by law for Donald Trump's 34 felony convictions.
In evaluating Trump's sentence, we urge you to include his 10 citations for contempt of court for threatening witnesses despite repeated warnings.
Trump should be treated no differently from any convicted felon you have sentenced in the past.
If Trump was somehow entitled to special treatment as a former President, he forfeited that entitlement through his relentless personal attacks against both of you, your family and staff, and every single person - including jurors like us - who ensures equal justice under the law,
