Justice for Breonna Taylor

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron

Breonna Taylor was an emergency medical technician who was resting in her home in Louisville, KY, in the middle of the night, when police executed a no-knock warrant and entered her apartment unannounced.  Breonna’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, not knowing that the intruders were police officers, fired in self-defense, injuring one of the officers that entered the home. Police responded by firing twenty rounds, striking Breonna eight times and ending her life.  No drugs or illegal substances were found in her apartment.

Walker was inexplicably charged with attempted murder; those charges were subsequently dropped. However, no charges have been brought against the officers who killed Breonna Taylor while they were in her home unannounced, executing an unjustified warrant.
