Justice for Porsche and Chloe, 2 Emaciated Dogs Starved by Owner

Butler County Prosecutor Michael T. Gmoser

When Porsche and Chloe were rescued in Butler County, Ohio last week, they were starving so badly, they were little more than skin and bone. Weak and emaciated, Porsche's condition was so critical, she had to be fed with a syringe.

After initiating a search for the owner, Butler County Dog Warden & Humane Officers discovered that it was actually the same man who had turned the skeletal dogs in, pretending he had found them on the streets.

Both dogs are receiving continued medical treatment from Animal Friends Humane Society. Their owner, Brian Trauthwein, now faces animal cruelty charges, and it is crucial that the courts make sure no more dogs or other animals suffer at this man's hands -- and send a message that such cruelty will not be tolerated.

Sign this petition urging the Butler County Prosecutor to ensure that justice is served, and work to prohibit Trauthwein from having an animal for the rest of his life.

When Porsche and Chloe were rescued in Butler County, Ohio last week, they were starving so badly, they were reduced to skin and bone. Porsche's condition was so critical, she had to be fed with a syringe.

After initiating a search, Butler County Dog Warden & Humane Officers discovered that the owner of the skeletal dogs was the same man who originally turned them in, claiming to have found the dogs on the streets to avoid responsibility for his own cruelty.

Owner Brian Trauthwein now faces animal cruelty charges, and it is crucial that the courts treat this case with the severity it warrants. I urge you prosecute this case to the fullest extent of the law, and work to prohibit Trauthwein from having an animal for the rest of his life.
