Keep FSU Safe: Universal Masking NOW!

FSU President Richard McCullough

We, the undersigned Florida State University faculty, look forward to commencing in-person learning this fall, but we deserve to do so with appropriate safety measures in place. On July 27, 2021, the CDC amended its guidelines to recommend that even fully vaccinated people “wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission.” We call on FSU to respect the safety of students, staff, and faculty and institute universal indoor masking in all classrooms, hallways, libraries, laboratories, meeting rooms, and offices on campus.
