KFC: Help Save Antibiotics
Muktesh Pant, CEO
The World Health Organization has warned that antibiotics will stop working if we continue to overuse them. Yet, up to 70 percent of all antibiotics in the U.S. are sold for use on livestock and poultry, much of which is routinely given to healthy animals.
In 2015, we showed that powerful consumer pressure can change an industry. Both McDonalds and Subway made commitments to adopt better antibiotics policies in their meat sourcing after thousands of students and citizens spoke out.

We're already seeing the consequences: Every year, 2 million Americans get sick and 23,000 die from drug-resistant infections.
As Millennials, we want to buy from restaurants who are working to ensure that these precious medicines remain effective for my generation and for generations to come.
Chick-fil-A, McDonalds, Subway, and Chipotle have all take action. It's time for KFC to stop buying meat raised with the overuse of antibiotics.
