Less Testing & More Transparency

Gov. Mark Dayton, Minnesota House, Minnesota Senate

Dear parents and educators,

There's no question that effective testing is one of the most important parts of education.

But we are tired of spending so much time and money on numerous and ineffective standardized tests. We're also concerned about the misuse of student data by testing and other educational tech companies.

Education Minnesota supports a package of policy changes known as the Transparency in Every Standardized Test (TEST) Act of 2016 that would make standardized testing of Minnesota students more transparent, trustworthy and useful as tools for teaching.

Sign our petition and join us in our efforts to change standardized testing in Minnesota. Tell the Legislature and Gov. Mark Dayton that enough is enough! Parents deserve to know what standardized tests their child is taking, how that data is being used and by whom!
