Background

The world knows that ever since coup started in February 1st 2021, the military terrorist group has been oppressing our voices and beliefs for justice and democracy by unlawfully arresting and brutally suppressing us.

According to the reports by Assistance Association of Political Prisoners - AAPP from February 28th, 2022, there have been 9,399 people being arbitrarily detained and 778 of them imprisoned.

Prisons in Myanmar have very low medical service provision and innocent civilians fighting for democracy are being persecuted, tortured, sexually abused and denied food and health care rights by pro-terrorists working for the military in order to break the spirit of the revolution.

Thus it is of utmost importance that we take responsibility for our comrades behind the bars to be treated with their rights, free from violence and torture. We start this campaign to be a ray of hope for our comrades behind the bars.

Prison Human Rights Violations and Records

One situation is the case of Ma Win Win (pseudonym) who was arrested in the town of Pyin Oo Lwin. In interrogation, the junta's lackeys gave her alcohol and not only did they forcefully grope her and assault her sexually, they attempted to rape her. This was reported by Myanmar Now media on January 21, 2022.

Moreover, according to the statement issued by "All Burma Federation of Students Union" on 30th Dec 2021, mentioned that young detainees in Mandalay Prisons got the sexual assault and being tortured by putting bamboo bars into anus. Those among being tortured such ways were not only girls but also boys.

On 15th March 2022, an uprising took place at Kalay Prison situated in Kalay City, Sittgaing Region. Following the event, the terrorist military purposely performed violent crackdowns and planned murders toward unjustly detained political prisoners which resulted in numbers of death. Meanwhile, lots of violence treatments, violations of human rights, illegal and unethical relocations of prisoners, violence tortures and cell blocking without proper reasons are happening everyday in prisons all over Myanmar including Monywa, Oh Bo and Insein prisons.

Our Demand for Comrades Behind Bars

Not only does the military arbitrarily, unjustly, and inhumanely terrorize detainees, they have used rape and other forms of sexual abuse on these detainees. We request these happenings not be ignored by international organisations and responsible institutions, including the International Committee of the Red Cross:

1. To inspect the prisons in Myanmar

2. To investigate these cases of human rights abuses in prisons

3. To enforce effective measures to prevent and immediately stop the human rights abuses

စစ်အာဏာသိမ်းမှု ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့သည့် ဖေဖော်ရီလ (၁)ရက်နေ့မှ စတင်ကာ အကြမ်းဖက်စစ်ကောင်စီသည် မိမိတို့၏ ယုံကြည်ချက်၊ တရားမျှတမှုနှင့် ဒီမိုကရေစီအရေးတို့အတွက် အသံလွှင့်ခဲ့သူများအား ရက်စက်စွာနှိမ်နင်းခြင်း၊ မတရားဖမ်းဆီးထောင်ချခြင်းများ ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ကြောင်း ကမ္ဘာအသိပင် ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ နိုင်ငံရေးအကျဥ်းသားများကူညီစောင့်ရှောက်ရေးအသင်း(AAPP)၏ ၂၀၂၂ခုနှစ်၊ ဖေဖော်ဝါရီလ ၂၈ရက်နေ့ထိရရှိထားသော စစ်တမ်းများအရ မတရားဖမ်းဆီးချုပ်နှောင်ခြင်း ခံထားရသူ စုစုပေါင်း (၉၃၉၉)ဦးရှိပြီး ယင်းတို့အနက် (၇၇၈)ဦးမှာ ထောင်ဒဏ်ချမှတ်ခံထားရသည်။

လက်ရှိမြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ အကျဥ်းထောင်အသီးသီးတွင် ကျန်းမာရေးစောင့်ရှောက်မှုများလွန်စွာ နိမ့်ကျလျက်ရှိပြီး စစ်ကောင်စီလက်ပါးစေများမှ ဒီမိုကရေစီတိုက်ပွဲဝင်ကျောင်းသားလူထု အား ပစ်မှတ်ထားကာ မတရားဖိနှိပ်ရန်ရည်ရွယ်၍လည်းကောင်း၊ တော်လှန်ရေးစိတ်ဓာတ်ကို ပျက်ပြားစေရန်သော်လည်းကောင်း မတရားညှင်းဆဲနှိပ်စက်ခြင်း၊ အစာရေစာ ဝလင်စွာမကျွေးခြင်း၊ ကျန်းမာရေးစောင့်ရှောက်မှုမပေးခြင်းနှင့် လိင်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာအကြမ်းဖက်စော်ကားခြင်းတို့ကို ကျူးလွန်လျက်ရှိသည်။

ထို့ကြောင့် သံတိုင်နောက်ကွယ်မှ ကျွန်တော်/ကျွန်မတို့၏ ရဲဘော်များအား လူ့အခွင့်အရေးနှင့်အညီ ဆက်ဆံခံရစေရန်၊ လူ့အခွင့်အရေးချိုးဖောက်ပြီးအကြမ်းဖက်ခံရခြင်းမှ ကင်းဝေးစေရန် ကျွန်တော်/ကျွန်မတို့တွင် တာဝန်ရှိပါသည်။ ကျွန်တော်/ကျွန်မတို့၏ တောင်းဆိုမှုသည် သံတိုင်နောက်မှ ရဲဘော်များအတွက် မျှော်လင့်ချက် အလင်းတစ်စ ဖြစ်စေရန်ရည်ရွယ်၍ ဤကမ်ပိန်းကို စတင်လိုက်ပါသည်။

ထောင်တွင်းလူ့အခွင့်အရေးချိုးဖောက်မှုဖြစ်စဥ်များနှင့် မှတ်တမ်းများ

အနီးစပ်ဆုံးဖြစ်စဥ်များမှာ ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့တွင် အဖမ်းဆီးခံခဲ့ရသော မဝင်းဝင်း (အမည်လွှဲ)အား စစ်ကြောရေးတွင် စစ်ကောင်စီလက်ပါးစေတစ်သိုက်မှ အရက်တိုက်ပြီး ခန္ဓာကိုယ်အစိတ်အပိုင်းများကို အတင်းကိုင်တွယ်ကာ လိင်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာထိပါးနှောင့်ယှက်မှုပြုရုံသာမက မုဒိမ်းပြုကျင့်ရန်ကြိုးစားခဲ့ကြောင်း မြန်မာနောင်းသတင်းဌာနက ၂၀၂၂ခုနှစ်၊ဇန်နဝါရီလ၊ (၂၁)ရက်နေ့၌ ထုတ်ပြန်သောဆောင်းပါးတွင် ရေးသားထားသည်။

၂၀၂၁ခုနှစ် ဒီဇင်ဘာလ (၃ဝ)ရက်နေ့ ဗမာနိုင်ငံလုံးဆိုင်ရာကျောင်းသားသမဂ္ဂများအဖွဲ့ချုပ်၏ ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်အရ မန္တလေးအကျဥ်းထောင်ရှိ ဖမ်းဆီးခံ ကျောင်းသားများနှင့် လူငယ်များအား စအိုအတွင်း ဝါးလုံးထိုးထည့်ပြီး နှိပ်စက်ခံရခြင်းနှင့် အခြားလိင်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာမဖွယ်မရာကျူးလွန်မှုများပြုလုပ်ခံခဲ့ရကြောင်း၊ ယင်းသို့ပြုကျင့်ခံရရာတွင် အမျိုးသမီးများသာမက အမျိုးသားများလည်းပါဝင်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။

ထို့နောက်၂၀၂၂ခုနှစ် မတ်လ (၁၅)ရက်နေ့တွင် စစ်ကိုင်းတိုင်းဒေသကြီး၊ကလေးမြို့ရှိကလေးအကျဉ်းထောင်တွင် ရုန်းရင်းဆန်ခတ်ပြသနာတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပွါးခဲ့ပါသည်။ထိုကိစ္စနှင့်ပတ်သတ်၍ မတရားအကြမ်းဖက်ဖမ်းဆီးခံထားရသောနိုင်ငံရေးအကျဉ်းသားများအားအကြမ်းဖက်စစ်တပ်ကထောင်အတွင်းသို့ဝင်ရောက်ကာလက်နက်ဖြင့်ရည်ရွယ်ချက်ရှိရှိဖြိုခွင်းသတ်ဖြတ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ထိုအကြမ်းဖက်သတ်ဖြတ်မှူကြောင့် ကလေးအကျဉ်းထောင်အတွင်းမှနိုင်ငံရေးအကျဉ်းသားအရေအတွက်တော်တော်များများကျဆုံးခဲ့ရပါသည်။ အလားတူထောင်တွင်းအကြမ်းဖက်မှုများ၊လူ့အခွင့်အရေးချိုးဖောက်ခံနေရခြင်း၊နေရာအရွေ့အပြောင်းပြုလုပ်ခံရခြင်း၊ အကြမ်းဖက်နှိပ်စက်ခြင်းနှင့်အကြောင်းအရင်းမဲ့တိုက်ပိတ်ခြင်းများသည်မုံရွာထောင်၊အိုးဘိုထောင်နှင့်အင်းစိန်ထောင်ရှိနိုင်ငံရေးအကျဉ်းသားများယခုလက်ရှိကြုံတွေ့နေရလျက်ရှိပါသည်။
