We, the members of HPAE Local 5091, stand united at the negotiation table not for mere wants, but for the fundamental needs of nurses, non-nursing professionals and patients at New Bridge Medical Center. Our demands are not extravagant; they are the pillars upon which a fair and just workplace is built.

Our demands are clear:

· Safe staffing

Our priority is to establish safe staffing ratios in every care area. This is crucial for protecting patients and preventing moral injury and burnout among our members. Better staffing translates to better outcomes for everyone.

· Fair Compensation and Recognition

Our priority is to ensure fair compensation and recognition. By offering competitive pay, we aim to attract and retain world-class employees and become a destination workplace.

· A Voice in Decision Making and a Safe Workplace

Our priority is to ensure that direct care nurses and non-nursing professionals have a voice in decision-making and a seat at the table anytime decisions are made affecting our practice.

· Time to Rest, Recharge, & Care for Our Families

Every member deserves the ability to take meaningful vacation time to recharge and connect with loved ones.

Sick leave without fear of discipline for personal or family leave.

· Advancing A Just Culture

We must create safe spaces to report errors and concerns without fear of retaliation or blame.

This supports trust, accountability and better care for our patients and communities.

These priorities are essential components of a new collective bargaining agreement, and we, the members of HPAE Local 5091, are fully committed to seeing them through. We recognize that these values align with the organizational culture and values of New Bridge Medical Center, and therefore, we expect nothing less than a satisfactory resolution to our negotiation demands.
