MCPHS: Don’t Cross Hotel Worker Picket Lines
Richard J. Lessard, MCPHS President
MCPHS is involved in the 2024 Harvest Ball scheduled to use the Hilton Boston Park Plaza, where workers are on strike.
Thousands of hotel workers have gone on strike in Boston and across the U.S. since Labor Day 2024. Hotel workers at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza and the Hilton Boston Logan Airport have been on an open-ended strike since October 6th, 2024. Hotel workers are asking customers to not eat, meet, or sleep at any hotel that is on strike.
As Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences community members, we believe in the MCPHS vision of “Empowering our Community to create a healthier, more equitable world.”
We ask that MCPHS live up to this vision and stand with hotel workers and not hold events at hotels where workers are on strike, including the 2024 Harvest Ball.
