New Haven: No Respect? No License!
Mayor and Board of Alders of the City of New Haven
New Haven is our working-class city that demands respect for working people. We say no stealing from immigrant workers allowed. No harassing women workers allowed. No telling black workers "last hired, first fired." No retaliating against any worker for asserting their rights. The city of New Haven controls business licensing yet this disrespect is allowed to continue. We demand that the Board of Alders and the Mayor pass and sign a law conditioning city licensing on lawful labor and employment practices. Working people in New Haven need to know that their City has our back. No Respect? No License!
